Rules, Regulations & Premium List*

1. The Board of Directors announce that the Jasper County Agricultural Association will not be responsible to any persons, individual, corporation or association for any loss by fire, theft or personal injury sustained by anyone through negligence of any persons or groups of persons, exhibit or exhibitors.
2. The Board of Directors of the Jasper County Agricultural Association reserves the right to call off the Fair and withdraw all premiums offered should unforeseen circumstances occur which in the judgment of the Directors make it advisable to do so.
3. The Jasper County Agricultural Association reserves the final and absolute right to interpret these rules and regulations and arbitrarily to settle and determine all matters and differences in regard to them and to add to or amend these rules as the Association through its Board of Directors may deem advisable.
4. The judge's decision will be final unless the complainant can show fraud or other irregularity in placing the awards.
5. All protests concerning livestock, articles or races must be made in writing to the Superintendent before the awards are made, said protest must set forth the grounds for such protest and be accompanied by a protest fee of $50.00.
6. All livestock for exhibit must be entered in the name of the bonafide owner or agent and all manufactured articles must be entered in the name of the maker.
7. All livestock for exhibit must submit a Premises Identification number upon making entries.
8. In all cases where Purebred animals are to be shown, the exhibitor will be required to satisfy the Superintendent of the Department.
9. All winners of first premiums are eligible for the Champion Classes without entering.
10. Every animal or article entered for exhibition shall be under the control and supervision of the Superintendent of the Department in which it is entered, but neither the Superintendent nor the Association will be responsible for any loss or damage that may occur.
11. Each exhibitor must purchase an exhibitor’s ticket.
12. When an exhibitor makes a wrong entry, either in articles or classes, he loses the entry fee paid.
13. Closing time for entries and times to have articles on the grounds will be listed under each Department. Times vary depending upon Department.
14. Reservations for stall space must be made 24 hours prior to showtime. In the event all stall space is taken the Fair Board reserves the right to close entries in the class.
15. Exhibitors in the Floral Hall shall take charge of their exhibits between 8:00 am & 11:00 am on Saturday, June 29, 2024, unless arrangements are made in advance with Superintendents.
16. The premium list will stand as printed. In no case will a class or special show be added.
17. Any feature of the fair, which in the minds of the Board of Directors is objectionable, may be excluded from the grounds.
18. No dogs will be allowed on the fairgrounds unless leashed.
19. Persons making themselves offensive to the visitors of the fair or the officers of the association will be excluded from the grounds at the discretion of the fair officials.
20. All individuals are subject to background checks. Under Illinois Law “it is unlawful for a child sex offender to knowingly operate, manage, be employed by, or associated with any COUNTY FAIR when persons under the age of 18 are present”.
21. The charge for camper trailer hook-ups during fair week will be $50.00 per trailer. Other electrical hook-ups $20.00.
22. All individual classes must show in order to collect premiums.
23. No exhibitor will be paid more than two premiums in any one class.
24. All premiums no called for by the first of September will be considered forfeited to the society. After Monday, July 1, 2024, checks may be picked up from
